Comparison between genders for trunk mobility in normal adults

Introduction: There are multiple factors which can affect spinal range of motion such as medical conditions, pelvic asymmetry age, sex, race and geographical distribution etc. Aim: The present study aims to assess the differences between genders for trunk mobility in normal adults. Material & methods: In this cross sectional study, 137 subjects (71 females 66 males) were included 6 months from various institutes Sumandeep Vidyapeeth assessed using Tape method goniometry all planes (sagittal, frontal transverse) forward flexion with without stabilization, extension, lateral rotation both sides their gender specific calculated students t test. Result: mean values by tape movements (flexion sides) have been given form descriptive statistics table. was no statistically significant difference among genders, except (p value 0.009 0.008) 0.023 0.004) where had greater than males.
